I got started with Crossfit in 2014 through Coach Bailey. She was actually the one who coached me though basics. Crossfit was something outside the norm…I was always into fitness, but Crossfit was different. It took me out of my comfort zone and made me look at fitness from a different perspective. As I progressed as an athlete, I became more and more interested in the sport of weightlifting. Around the fall of 2015, 718 opened up its exclusive weightlifting program. From there, I was hooked. I started to read books from OLY coaches. I started researching different techniques and styles of lifting. Around the same time, I sought some advice from Head Coach Iz. Before I knew it, I was certified as a Level 1 Crossfit instructor, USAW Level 1 and 2 Sports Performance Coach.
