Post WorkOut Observations 4/18/10
When it rains… Well you know.
Well guys as many of you may already know we have had a few major set backs this week. Without getting into too much detail let’s just say that we lost our spot at Prospect Avenue and we had a major medical issue and got harassed by New York’s “Finest”.
As it turns out all the drama has served to motivate me even more, Im redoubling my effort to find us a suitable home even if it is temporary.

In terms of the work out today we did Crossfit’s “DT”. The work out turned out great despite the police involvement. LMAO. We started the morning with Bob running some tabata sprints then cruising through the work out utilizing 95lbs for the first four rounds. On the last round he jumped up to 115lbs and finished with a total time of 19:46. We did some Strong Man drills and finished with a stretch. All around solid job, he made it look good and had a good time doing it.
Next up we had Su who also started with some Tabata sprints running them really fast. She did DT using 65lbs for the Deadlift and Cleans but only used the bar on the Push Jerks. She also finished with some Strong Women drills looking solid. Thats when we were approached by some idiot Park Slope dad who complained that what we were doing appeared unsafe. I proceeded to polightly explain that it was safe and dismissed him promptly. LOL.
Well turns out Park Slope Dad called his personal security guards the NYPD while I finished up with Su.
Our group consisted of Max Rebecca Jon R. and Dr. V. We started out with a 1 mile run led by Max at a grueling pace:) and upon returning Dr.V who was on-call had to go save one of his patients. We started DT with three bars and began cracking away at the five rounds that constitute the work out.
As we completed round 4 the NYPD showed up and asked us to stop working out. I started to speak to them and Jon.R cut me off and spoke to them using his Lawyerly jargon trying to find out what the violation was. The “officer” began clamoring for a reason and basically said that he would invent something in order to get us to wrap it up. Jon. R’s attempts to appease the police did not go as planned and we were forced to put the bars away:( We diverted to plan B and began working round of Tabata Air Squats Pull UP’s and Push UP’s. We then finished with Max leading another 1 mile run and some Walking Lunges. I was very embarased by the police involvement and apologize to everyone for provoking the wrath of a Park Slope Dad:) LMFAO.
Next week we will be working a big metcon so come prepared.
See you all Friday night 6:45pm.
