What a filthy beast. 33:19
good work Chris I am angling to get into the box for the 5 pm.
Brutal today. Haven’t done this in a long time. PR’d my double-unders at 121 unbroken today.
Then I took on the 50.
Was making great time until the back extensions, and something tweaked, and then I seized up. Took me over 15 minutes just to do the wall balls and burps. Finished in 36:13, including about 5 minutes of rest to stop my back from feeling like there was a bunch of knives stuck in it. Feel better now, but I’m not going to do this again today. 😉 So I know that I can do better, but I’m going to be happy with this for now, and I suggest to everyone else going today that you stretch the shit out of your backs!!!
Coach Dan
It is customary to do hip extensions and not ‘real’ back extensions for this one. 50 back extensions for time is a little much. This was the consensus at my level 1, every video I have seen, and the demo video of the WOD on the main site.
See WOD demo on main site: http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_PittFilthyFifty.mov. (They also do old skool standard of the box jump and some bad reps with knees to triceps. BUT we can do better!)
34:14 (i think?) for me. This one was really rough – Iz thought I was going to keel over during it.
Thanks to everyone at 8am for getting me through the burpees and double unders! You guys are awesome.
Oh, and for those of you asking about MovNat, here’s the links:

are these game style box jumps? and is it 50 lunges for each leg or 50 total steps. The main site says 50 steps. but I know Iz counts by halfs on these lunges
Games standard box jumps, yes. And it’s 50 steps total, 25/leg.
Hate to miss this one.
At the same time a bit relieved. 🙂
I am glad I got to chalk this one up with the 5pm crew. 36:12 Government Eduardo is a beast he flew through it. Steve always fun making jokes and working hard to get the work done. burpees and wall balls really hurt today. Kudos to Rod first workkout since graduating the basics, you picked a hell of a day to start. Keep the programming coming coach, Good times
Nice job Rachel, you killed the 50 🙂
Did a strength WOD today
Warm up 100 Air Squat in 2:55 seconds
50 foot Yoke Carry – 1/1/1/1/1 max – 165/195/215/245/275
50 Farmers Walk – 1/1/1 max – 110/150/210 ( I didn’t like these… Too much work to load the weight :p )
5RNFT – 5 HSPU (2AbM) / 10 Rx GHD Sit Ups/ 1-50′ Farmers Carry at 170lbs
That weight is sick, you are amazingggggggggg!
Should I still feel like I need to puke 2+ hours after finishing? 31:25 rx only segment unbroken was the doubles, which was surprising how bad I felt.
good time I’d say you will probably make the chalkboard with that time
