Good luck to everyone today! I am so sad to miss this event but I know you’ll all rep hard for 718! Hope to see you guys soon!
AWESOME day at the box, congrats to EVERYONE who participated today, we couldn’t have done it without you. Congrats and THANK YOU to Iz and Tammy and Darren. Without all your hard work, today wouldn’t have come to be.
As far as the WOD goes, I set a 54 rep PR today, hitting 304, when only one year ago at FGB 5 I got 250. So needless to say I’m super happy with that.
See you all soon, and congrats on all the PRs today! So proud to have worked out with you all!
Coach Dan
That was a lot of fun and the energy was through the roof. Sad I had to run here to work, but thanks all for making this possible and raising all that money for such good causes! Great to see all those peeps from CrossFit Dumbo, you guys rocked!
Super PR for me today at 327. Don’t remember my previous PR from a year and a half ago, but was in the neighborhood of 240 to 260 (closer to 240 probably).
Congrats to all for such amazing efforts!
Kurt there was a recount 317 … still an awesome improvement.
Just will make it easier to PR next time!
I like that attitude.
That is a great attitude. Cool beans
What a great event today. I woke up with a big smile on my face and knew it was going to be a day to remember.
FGB – This was actually my first time doing this WOD so nothing to compare it to. I wasn’t sure what the best strategy would be so just did it as hard as I could for 55 seconds and then rotated and took some deep breaths before hitting the next movement.
Total – 370
Thanks to judge Cory for keeping all the reps honest and watching the time for me.
A big Thank you to Coach Iz, Tammy and Darren for setting this event up. Hopefully we can go to DUMBO and throwdown on their home turf in the future.
Primetime in the daytime !
Wish I could have watched man, you’re a beast. It’s my goal to make sure you make it to regionals next year, possibly even Cali. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be there repping 718. Amazing job today, a real inspiration. I’m gonna shoot for 325 next time, and you’ll probably hit 400. ELITE!
Dan, Tom, you both are beasts. Lol.
Thanks to everyone who participated today it was awesome!
Total score=278 which is a 24 point PR for me:)
Fell short of my goal of 300 but still a big improvement for me. Thank you to Tammy, Darren, Michelle, Dan and everyone else who pitched in to help.
PS the food was great, YUM 🙂
Thx to you and Tammy for being such gracious hosts. And your son needs a shoutout for being so cool about spending time there.
Ty tammy for being so supportive!!
Thanks for letting me play, even though I decided to join the fun late in the game. 🙂
My FGB score at the end of Basics in February was 145.
Today I scored 249.
I used 35# weights for SDHP and PP both times.
Thanks to everyone who was still there cheering me on (when you weren’t cheering on Darren!) and thanks Darren for letting me WOD with you. 🙂
(10.5 weeks!)
Congrats on 10.5 weeks. Very cool and inspiring to watch you. Very feel good day and love seeing so much positive energy,
Yay!
The dilly with my shoulder- it needs surgery to tighten up the shoulder so it wont dislocate. However both my needs require surgery. I got the mri back for left knee and there’s arthritis and scarring from a functional dislocation. My left knee buckles sideways not straight. So an incision has to be made so it can come straight down the middle.
Right knee still needs an mri. But i calendered my surgeries for october-3, 7, and, 31. Want to bang it out so i can recover and get back to progress as usual. Not scared about surgery or pain. Was overwhelmed and stressed when i got news bc of the big lifestyle change and the isolating nature of recovering from surgery. Mos def going to limp over to the box on my cane and hang. 🙂
Idea of being cooped up in my apartment for october and november sounds awful and lame. But Iz and Tammy are encouraging me to go hang at the box more. I live a block away. Figure i can help them with some social media marketing.
Ty for welcoming me to the community! 🙂
Karen,
Get well fast, an while yor hanging around the box we can go over some excerisies that can keep you in shape.
And peeps, friend me on fb if u avent done so, so i can tag you in photos. Lol
Wow, I had such a great time today. I love this team. Really enjoyed having Crossfit Dumbo come down today, it’s official we are going to have to do this again.
Thank You Every one for supporting a good cause, and once again coming thru and supporting your friends…
Final scores
Team 1 = 1351
Team 2 = 1169
Team 3 = 1168
Team 4 = 1165
Team 5 = 1123
P. S. Jon R, our top fundraiser came thru and slammed the WOD!! Great job fundraising. I
Second, third and fourth place were only separated by four reps that is something to really think about. Five people on a team one extra rep on one of the five events in any of the three rounds could have been the difference maker. Man I can’t wait until next years FGB 7 !
239 on fgb. Thanks to iz, tammy, and all the crowd for pushing me. Thanks very much to my judge melissa and congrats to her on killing that 200 goal with a 217.
Such a great time yesterday – I loved the energy and all the support. Everyone did an amazing job! Big thanks to Iz and Tammy of course for putting this whole thing together and to Matt for being an awesome judge and Chris for all the cheering and supporting. You all definitely helped me get to 217 and can’t wait to beat this next year!
great time yesterday i cant wait to do that agin. a big special thanks to Cory, you made my life much much easier yesterday, I hope I made you proud with a 258. Iz Tammy and all the coaches what a fun high energy event. Finally met Tommy T, thanks for keeping my score honest.
