Rest Day 05/26/11
CrossFit 718’s June Challenge… It’s that time again when we challenge ourselves to eat right. During the month of June we encourage you to track your progress by weighing yourselves at the beginning and end of the month and providing before and after photos of yourself.
Challenge Rules: Start with 10 points at the beginning of the day. Subtract 1 point for every non-allowed food that you eat. For every WOD you complete at CrossFit 718, ADD 1 point to your score. For every night that you get more than 8 hours of sleep, ADD 1 point.
NO: bread/rice/grains/cereals/starches/sugar/processed foods
YES: meat/fish/nuts/seeds/fruit/vegetables
Save the date: On Saturday July 9th Team 718 is heading to Manhattan Beach for a Beach WOD BBQ!!! (you can show everyone what you look like in a bikini after a month of strict paleo:)

Adventure Race Much??
There are a few races that Coach Iz is interested in getting involved in. We are looking for CrossFitters who will be prepared for anything, and run as if the Zombies were chasing you LOL…. Check out the following links, do your research then post to comments today and let us know which one you might be interested in.
The Spartan Race is June 4th or 5th in Tuxedo, NY. It is a 3 Mile race with 10 insane obstacles..
The Warrior Dash is August 13th or 14 in Windham, NY. this is a 3.2 Mile adventure race with 15 obstacles.
The Rock Solid Mud Run is August 6th in Englishtown, NJ. This is a 6 – 12 mile Mud run, with a Big after Party!
Amazing! I love the commercial. I’m down to try the Paleo Challenge but I’m going on vacation with my family to the beach so there’s no way I’ll stay on it that week. But when I’m in Brooklyn I’m in. AND, count me in for any and all adventure races that you go to! WOOHOOOOOO

I will be doing the Spartan race for sure June 4-5, they also have one on staten island that is 7-8 miles and I will be doing that one as well… Maybe the team could come out to my neck of the woods ??

As much as I want to do the paleo challenge, I don’t think it will work well with studying for the bar exam. And 8 hours of sleep per night? Ha! I’m impressed with all who can do it though. Good luck!
Hey Courtney don’t stress it—I never get 8 hours of sleep. So that will make 2 of us not getting those bonus points. 🙂

Did yesterday’s WOD: 20 Min AMRAP: 400 meter sprint, max HSPU, 1 rope climb
13/10/8/7/7/6/7 for 7 Rounds 59 HSPUs.
(And left a mark on the top of my head from banging my head on the ground.)
9 Min AMRAP: 3 MUs, 15 sqts, 15 dUs.
Got 4 rounds. + 1 MU.
I think I was so excited to do a WOD with MU that I fatigued myself with trying to go unbroken. Got my first set unbroken, and 2 my second set. I should have paced myself. Oh well, it was fun and I was just psyched to be able to do a MU WOD!
