CrossFit 718’s February Paleo Challenge
February we will be hosting a Paleo Diet Challenge for any and all members interested in dropping some excess body fat and getting stronger.
You are required to measure your results, so you’ll start by weighing yourselves at the beginning, as well as frequently throughout the month. Also, you’ll need before, during, and after photos to really track your progress. Post comments here if you’re interested in doing this, and we’ll take it from there. Let’s all get healthy together!
CrossFit LIC Winter Challenge
Announcement: The second event in the upcoming Frostbite 2011 competition is going to be:
Event #2: KB Snatch, as many reps as possible in 10 min.
Men use 24kg kettlebell, women – 16kg.
Rules: Only one switch of hands is allowed. The competitor must lift the kettlebell with one uninterrupted movement and pause with it overhead with his arm straight. The arm, the legs, and the torso must be straight during the fixation. Following the fixation AND after hearing the judge count the rep competitor must lower the kettlebell for the next repetition without allowing it to come in contact with his torso.
The “No Rep” command is issued and repetition is not counted towards the total if:
– there is no fixation of the KB overhead
– the free arm touches the platform, the kettlebell, or any part of the body
– any part of body but feet touches the platform
The “Stop” command is issued if:
• The kettlebell is set on any part of the body
• The kettlebell is set on the platform
We still have room for more participants. Hurry up and register now! Registration is $25 and includes a cool long sleeve thermal t-shirt! Even if you don’t plan to participate, definitely plan to come over and support your fellow CrossFitters, and bring your friends and family!
Alright, I’m signed up for the Frostbite event! Who’s with me??
