These are some of the most technical and most beautiful lifts there are. Here is some low quality video of a great lifter. The angle is nice to see what her hips are doing. Notice how low she gets in the squat and the distance the bar is traveling. Also, notice where the second pull occurs (the first pull being the deadlift pull).

Squat snatch – guys its the best way to get big weight, you just can’t match it with the power snatch. If we are having problems getting into the bottom position, we should be stretching more.

I was working on getting under the bar for the cleans I guess I was doing power cleans for the earlier lifts. As Tom was saying if we are having trouble getting under the bar it is probably because we are not stretching enough. I think that is part of my issue, the other part is that I simply need to practice. Many thanks to Cory for working with me, it makes a huge difference having someone encourage you along the way.
