Good day with a fired up glass!
400 M Run with 2 x 1 pood KBs -> 4:00
Power Cleans -> 5 @ 145#, 4×5 @ 135# (felt good with nice fast elbows)
Front Squat -> 5×2 @ 185#
High Pulls -> 3×3 @ 190# – got under one of these and was on the way up, but collapsed… got a new PR in waiting (;
I was really impressed that you lowered the weight on your Power Cleans to get the better form. Good show! 🙂
Ha! Not always without fuss, but I try.
It is important to keep in mind: we are in training. I want to get a PR at the end of the month and points after. Today the power clean was about training the movement – working on generating speed and muscle memory. If I tried to do that with heavier weights, I would not have gotten good muscle memory for when my body was actually dealing with the stress of going heavy. I fast and powerful clean cannot be done with thought, it just has to be done.
Here is Coach Mike Burgener coaching his more than thrilled daughter Sage with the Power Clean.
