Gymnastics class
Lots of handstand work, going towards a freestanding handstand or a handstand walk.
Followed by Mary (Pike push ups)… 5 rounds + 5 pikes + 10 pistols

For Time: Row 500M – 1:49
OHS: 3/3/3/3/3 (Max Effort) – 45/65/65/65/65 – I need to improve flexibility, and ultimately get lower!
6 RFT of: 1 Rope Climb/2 Wall Walk/3 Broad Jump/4 Plate Burpees (45)/5 Plate Push Press (45/35) – 15:05, though only the first round was completed as Rx’d. Push press rounds 2-6 were at 35 lbs.

Did Mary to finish up – 7 rounds. Used the blue band, but graduated to red at the end. No more blue allowed.

Previous PR was 1:29.8. So it’s a PR by 0.7 seconds, but I’ll take it. Want to get to 1:28 next time.
Overhead Squat
Went a little light here, first time doing OHS in a while, so wanted to give my shoulder/arm a chance to work itself in.

Rx’d in 11:03. Those wall walks were killing me by the end. I made sure and get approx. 8 feet for each broad jump. (the width of two mats).
Gonna be sore tomorrow!

Gymnastics for me. Now I want to do a handstand walk almost as bad as I want to do a muscle up. I will definitely be back to this class.
Mary for me was 6 rounds + 5 HSPU, doing a pike with the box.

Thanks Coach Kurt..good day today, aim to get better in many areas..but im becoming obsessed with these work outs. I dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing tho..anyhow, I’ll pay better attention next time and make sure i remeber to do 6 rounds instead of 5 like I did today, I could of had a decent time I think if i would of not lost time in between the 5th and 6th round all excited about finishing when i still had 1 more round left..felt like an air head, haha, but its kewl..

Had to do yesterdays wod because I need the push up work. 10 rounds of 15 – 135# deadlifts, 15 hand release push ups. 20:05.
As I finished that wod the 5 pmers were starting todays wod and I jumped in: 11:15. I was confused after this wod and decided to do another round: 14:35.
Total time for two wods: 34:40. Great day! And I believe Steve for the extra round.

He was looking so graceful in his new tights, and limber with climbing ropes, wall walks, and beautifully executed overhead squats… just makes a believer out of the biggest skeptic.

I wish I knew why this keeps happening. Perhaps being pregnant is just good for rowing? Will my times go back up after April? We shall see… Regardless. Happy for the PR. 🙂

I still think 1 strict pull-up is hardly a fair replacement for a rope climb. I’m willing to do 3-5 reg pull-ups or ring rows as a replacement. But as they say in Newfoundland, “What odds!” It means, “Whatever!”
I did four rounds with strict plate presses until Tami reminded me it was supposed to be push presses. Oops!
