Hello from Minnesota!
Worked out with the good peoples at crossfit St. Paul today and it was brutal. Thirty minute back squat session working up to 1RM. New PR at 295.
Then 10 rounds of four tire flips per person (their tires are so big you need two people to flip them) with a 200M run. Finished with my partner in 25. Not great, but respectable. Miss you guys!

Cindy (5 pull ups 10 push ups – competition – 15 squats)
11 Rounds + 5 + 3 The competition pull ups really slowed me down. Chest to deck usually gets me at least over 16. Going to stick with them until they become second nature.
Deadlift worked up to 295#. Still have problems consistently getting over 300#.

I’ve been tracking this site for a while, so it was nice to finally make it to a WOD.
Cindy: 12 rounds + 5 pull-ups + 7 push-ups.
Pull-ups and squats were unbroken, but push-ups quickly become an embarrassing mess. A far cry from my PR from long ago. I also don’t think doing bench press last night did me any favors on this one. Still, I do love Cindy.
Deadlifts: 365, 385, 405.
The 405 wasn’t pretty and was slipping from my left grip (note to self: use chalk, especially if lifting heaving after Cindy). I haven’t hit 405 since a shoulder issue took me out of the game for over a year, so it felt great to be reunited with that. Now I just need to make it a prettier lift.
It was great finally working out with you all.
Cindy: 10 rounds 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 5 air squats. Modified the pullups with blue band after realizing that kipping consistently is challenging for me. Gymnastics are still a general weak spot for me, but they are improving.
Deadline:135/185/235/255/265PR. Gunning for 300 this summer!

Hey just wanted to check in from Madrid. Amazing city. Fri ran 2 miles in 18 minutes then 21/ 15/ 9 Pushups / squats =2:45
Today run 3 miles 30 minutes
Tabata pushup =74
Tabata squat = 132
After 1 month of no bread and limited sugar I have indulged almost every day. It is hard not to here. There is bread at every meal, but also a lot of meat, it would be rude not to eat everything offered by my host family so…
I will try to attend mundo crossfit tmrw if they have room in the class.
