nice job matty boy my vacation wod was doing keg walks and kegstands. managed 3 days of running, burpees and pull ups using the crossbar of a soccer goal in some podunck town in tuscany.
Never been to the 10 AM class. Fun times. Good times working with Jess, Tammy, and Gillian today.
I don’t know what Tammy is talking about the warm up was great! (; Good basic body weights stuff NFT. 30 goblin squats, 20 push ups (did competition… got to work on these), 10 pull ups. (x 2)
Run 800 M/ 30 Power Snatch (@ 105#)/ 800 M Run – 15:41. Not bad. Felt like I needed to work on my snatch. I do a lot of clean & jerks for fun.
Ugh. Got some sort of food poisoning I think last night. Felt terrible today, but I pushed through anyway.
Did the WOD alone at the box, so couldn’t run.
Was very careful to throw myself UNDER the bar on the jerks, and not to press with my shoulder. That’s why i went a little lighter than I normally would. Felt good to get something overhead though!
WARM UP
I liked the warm-up, but I agree with Tammy that it was challenging. I modified my goblin squats by letting my arms hang with the weight, rather than support the weight. I held it by the bottom so I could go deeper into the squat. I feel stronger on my push-ups. Still have work to do tho, obviously. And did jumping pull-ups. Ugh.

800m run + 30 power clean & split jerks @ 50# + 800m run = > 18:23
I felt good about this time. Ran slow but powered through the Grace. I’m proud of myself for getting past my fear of 45# when doing these.
