First day coaching, and had a great time. Courtney and John you guys kicked butt!
In honor of Marine Corps Captain Meadows and my first day coaching I had to give yesterday’s newest Hero wod a shot:
“Meadows”
For time:
20 Muscle-ups
25 Lowers from an inverted hang on the rings, slowly, with straight body and arms
30 Ring handstand push-ups
35 Ring rows
40 Ring push-ups
39:41
Was able to hammer out the ring HSPU, but had a few where I used my legs to climb the straps. Actually they did get slightly easier as my form became better. All-in-all very excited to be able to tackle this.
Well done Kurt that workout looks like a tough one. Do you remember your split for the first 20 muscle ups?
Around 6 – 6:30 I think. The lowers because they were relatively new and, of course, the HSPU took the bulk of the time.

Very happy with that number I really feel like my box jumps which were previously a weakness are coming along nicely. A tip perhaps to help you out with yours … imagine/visualize that standing on the top of the box is actually the starting position hop down and right back up, no foot reset. Rest on top of the box if necessary.
