Pretty bummed about my performance today. Didn’t get much sleep the last two nights (only four hours last night) and a little cold was holding me down.
Blew my energy early, going up 20lbs to 145 on the Snatch. Dropped 10lbs on the Jerk at 165 and managed to push my Clean up 10 to 195, but still missed my 200+ mark.
Chris nice work. Adjust the strategy and you are right there. Small incremental progressions thats how we get stronger and improve. A 20lb jump on the snatch is massive, scale that back and your good.
195lb clean is nothing to be ashamed about either thats more than you weigh. Perspective buddy.
Other than the obvious… (ie. smaller man who can lift the same as bigger man). I guess I’m asking, other than the Sinclair Coefficient, is there a chart I can reference?
To be honest, it really ain’t relevant. The weight on the bar is the weight on the bar. You can either lift it or you can’t. Your body weight is not in question – your ability to lift the weight is.
Or as Henry Rollins has said, “Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.” AND I am sooo close to cleaning 200 lbs!
OLY total 495. 145- 175 and 175. For me it is all about having the confidence to get under the bar on the clean. Small victory’s . I think I could have gone higehr but I am worried about a nagging neck injury that still doesn’t feel 100%. Good work am crew lively this morning. my apologies for the burpees but I know you loved it
My oly total from November 1 went down 10 lbs to 255.
Snatch => 70
Clean & Jerk => 85
Clean => 100
I thought it was because I’m 21 weeks preggie (almost 5 months), but Coach Dan said it was because I zipped through the lifts too fast and didn’t give myself enough recovery time.

Then I did yesterday’s CF Football DWOD, which was:
8 rounds of:
3 standing broad jumps, 6 foot min each
40 yard sprint.
Rest is how long it takes to walk the 40 yards back to the start.
Fastest sprint was 5.6, slowest was 6.0. Felt good.
I did a Power O-lift total, making sure not to do anything that would injure myself.
Power Snatch = 115-125-135F
Power Clean + Jerk = 145-155-165F
Power Clean 175-185-195F
So my totals were 125 + 155 + 185 = 465. First time really doing any olifting in quite a while. Felt good.

3 min of Double Unders=175 went at a moderate pace.
Burgener/Skill transfer with PVC
Snatch- WU-3@45/2@95/1@145 WS-1@155/165PR/170F (5lb PR, missed 170lbs but not by much!)
Power Clean &Split Jerk- WU- 1@170 WS- 1@190/200F/195F (5lb regression:(
Clean- WU- 200 WS- 215/225F/220F (215 matches my current PR and i got under both 225/220lbs but did not finish. Similar to KRod, I’m feeling like what I missed was not by much and im happy about it. So Over all my Oly Total is 570 a 10lb PR over 11/1st 🙂
Body weight 145lbs
Really proud of everyone this morning, there were a shit ton of PR’s. Most of this mornings athletes set a personal best in more than one lift 🙂 I felt very proud watching almost everyone demonstrate good technique! The proof is in the pudding, the programming when applied correctly works! Congratulations to everyone who trained today.

Pr’d my snatch @ 145 (up from 135)
Screwed up my reps on the c&j and wound up having to use my warmup rep as my # (next time will start with my # from last time rather than trying to pr all 3 reps) @ 135
Clean – @ 190 ( matched last time)

Well done:
Marina 300, Ryan 475, Jose 625, Steve 495, Cory 500, Eric 505, Bailey 315, Jimmy 570 and Esteban 515.
Knock Knock….
I know there were quite a few PR’s tonight to those who didn’t PR have no fear, I hear this is coming up again in 6-8 weeks use that as motivation.
Sometimes all that is lacking is a good strategy.
Marina’s Strategy worked well for her tonight she did a few warmups getting progressively heavier then hit her old PR on her first official lift. This allowed her to be aggressive on her remaining two attempts and it paid off (twice I believe).
Write Down your strategy for next time. Be prepared!

Snatch- 85 (from 75) this one definitely wasn’t pretty but I’ll take it
C&J- 115 (105)
Clean- 115 (105)
Total- 315 (285)
Overall I felt pretty good tonight, started off feeling a little wobbly but felt stronger as we went on. Fun small class and it was great working with Coach Tom for the 1st time 🙂

I’ll be back.
Considering starting a dart league any takers? Good work on the #’s I was more interested in getting over 500 and I failed.
ha!!!!
yeah, my performance was not the best either. I blame the darts!
PR’d on Double unders though – 60 unbroken!
Those double unders were ridiculous Jess!

T
Angie took a lot out of me yesterday.
Snatch – 135# (had 145# last week, but didn’t have the stability today)
C&J at 185# – not the prettiest jerk. Think I can hit 195# when I am feeling fresher, which is exciting.
Clean at 195# – this felt good. Tried 200# and got under, but could not explode out of the hole… 200 is not far off.
C&J and the clean are both up 10# from the beginning of the month.
Total 515 @ BW 145#

oh yeah I got 25 DU’s unbroken, I was inspired by jess’s 60
Snatch – 115# PR by 5 lbs
C&J – 155# – matched my old PR
Clean – 165# – PR by 5 lbs
total 435
I think angie made this harder than it should have been!
Angie was a cruel mistress. (;
And just so that you can relive it: 400 perfect reps from Spealler

BTW sorry about my profanity 🙂
My unborn child was horribly offended. 😉

The night Classes did Great on their totals.
Well done:
Marina 300, Ryan 475, Jose 625, Steve 495, Cory 500, Eric 505, Bailey 315, Jimmy 570 and Esteban 515.

And with those numbers from the girls (combined with the 6 am girls), I am officially off the leader board. It was nice while it lasted… 😉
Yep that was my strategy and I came up with it all on my own!!
That quote was pretty awesome. Thanks for the tips!
