Felt good to be back today, though had to listen my body and take my foot off the gas a few times.
DUs were meh, 62 in 5 min.
Split Jerk: 95/115/125/135/145/155PR. I feel like I can do more, but I’m psyched to get the PR!
Went upside down to try out some HSPUs, but my body didn’t enjoy that too much. Soooo, did some push-ups and regained composure for 10 minutes.
5 min AMRAP: KB swings (16kg). 92 reps.
Nice seeing some new faces!
5 min amrap double unders : 97.

Split jerk 95/105/115/125/135/155/165 (fail)/165 PR woo.
HSPU’s. I have no clue how many I actually did, and those that I did were pretty ugly (1/4 ROM maybe) but I learned to kick up to the wall today, so that feels pretty good :).
Kette bell snatch: 1.5 pood, I banged out 48 in 5 minutes. Would have been more if I wasn’t sweating off my chalk after every 5 snatches! I was a little worried about sending the bell at Jon near the end there.
And update for those that were around, our car wasn’t towed/stolen, my wife literally just couldn’t find it LOL.
BTW, coach, what was the website that you suggested to purchase a rope?

I’d already ordered mine, but I called them up, and they were able to put another rope into the box. It ships out today. Rope was 25 dollars, and the shipping was 7.90 total. It’s their middle priced rope.
5 min max effort Double Unders lost count honestly but worked on contiguious reps, best effort was 12. after having to tie my shoe i got at least 80 reps.
Split Jerk (from rack)- 1/1/1/1/1/1/1 – I like the split jerk movement. maxed out at 185# after failing on it once I got it up the second time. descending order 185/185 f/ 175/ 165/ 135/ and a few warm ups lower- I worked with Greg on these.
-Greg, good job getting the higher weights up after pressing a few of those out when you got your tecnique tuned in it went up much easier. I will take technique over strength almost any day… I guess they feed off one another
For Time: 50 HSPU- I have no technique, scraped knees from the wall and a sore neck from this excercise. I need to get this down. I got 33 reps in with a relatively limited ROM. better than I expected but I need work.
10 min max rep: K.B. Snatch (1.5/1 pood)- I got 103 reps using a 20 Kilo kettle bell. It was hard to hold onto that slippery little thing after 20 reps
– Coach, sorry I was late, today i realized that if we are late we are just messing with the dynamic of the class. i was dissapointed that we didn’t have the time to get the last part of the WOD in and will help push the class to get thinigs rolling faster. But mostly getting there on time. The market is once again getting destroyed, but the honey badger doesn’t give a sht.

KB Snatch tore up my hands, but felt good doing high reps w lower weight. (That 1.5 is HEAVY!)

Fighting a headache all day. Really annoying.
Split Jerks are a lot of fun:
1 – 135#, 1 – 145#, 1 – 155#, 1 – 165#, 1 – 175#, 1 – 180#, F – 190#
185# is my one rep max… had to try for 190 today. Close
KB Snatches were terrible 47 at 1.5 pood. Never really worked in a swing into my snatches so this was the first time. Oh well, it is good to find another goat.
50 HSPU – 11:59. I was so shot with overhead movements these were tough. I usually can bust out 15 unbroken to start, but today I got 8. It was slow going, but I did learn how to kip… which is awesome.
Oh yay, 250 DUs in 5 minutes.

Great to be back from vacation. Needed the workout bad after a long week of drinks, beer, drinks and more beer. Felt good today, really need to work On my DU’s (BAD). Split jerks felt good (PR’D). Thanks coach for letting me get in one more rep. See ya tomorrow.

Split jerk – 65/75/85/90/95/100/105PR wobbly but I got it up
Worked on HSPU technique and got 25 of them with no help and 2 abmats for now, but it’s hugee progress since I was afraid to go upside down for soooo long!
Then instead of snatches we did a cashout:
10 rounds for time: 10DU/10 situps/10 air squats – 8 something??
3:45 amrap double unders=200
Press- 45×5/95×3/115×2/120×2/2/2/2/2 (missed these last week)
50 (kipping) HSPU’s full rom=6:08
