Crossfit Total – 275 squat, 135 strict press, 325 dead= 735 total new PR on the Dead lift the squat and the strict press I don’t recall. I feel like I did 285 while working with Chris a few weeks back. I kept wanting to push press that weight and it was frustrating not to be able to get more wight up. In a month we shall see where we get to. I am looking forward to my end of the month scores

Squat = 255# (super happy with this one)
Press = 125#
Deadlift = 0# -> last warm up rep was at 275#. Failed three lifts at 315#. Back was not recovered from heavy deadlifts I had done on Monday (been hitting 315# consistently the past few weeks). Excuses (;
Total = 380 (with out deadlift)
Total = 655 (with warm up deadlift)
Last time I did a total was on November 8, 2010, and my score was 640. So that’s a significant increase. My goal by the end of 2012 is to hit 1005. Ideal breakdown would be:
Squat = 350
Press = 180
Deadlift = 475
We shall see! I think it’s quite possible.

In 6 minutes, I did just under 2 rounds for the warm-up (25 DU + 200 m run); but I finished the run, of course. So I ended up completing 2 rounds for my warm-up.
Back Squats: 125# (PR by 20#)
Push Press: 55# (same as old PR)
Dead Lift: 165# (PR by 10#)
TOTAL: 345
I think I could’ve gone higher on the back squats and dead lifts. On the push press, I failed at 60#, so I feel comfortable with that. I think perhaps I could have tried for heavier weight on the DL. I’ll try to improve my form before trying for heavier weight on the back squats.
Or maybe I’ll just wait until after April of next year… 😉
Shoulder press = strict press. Push Press = dip and drive, using legs and hips as well. I’m sure you were doing shoulder press today, not push press. 🙂

We decided to do the Crossfit Total this morning so we will all know where we’re starting strength wise before our month of strength focused workouts.
Warmup: 6 min AMRAP: 25 DUs + 200m run. I got 2.5 rounds. My DUs are aggravatingly bad. Motivation.
CF Total: 1 rep max of Squat/Press/Deadlift
Squat: 190 PR by 25lbs
Press: 80 PR by 15 lbs
Deadlift: 210 PR by 5 lbs
