The CrossFit 718 February Paleo Challenge!
Alright, some of you have heard through the grapevine that in February we’ll be hosting a Paleo Diet challenge for any and all members interested in dropping some excess body fat and getting stronger.
In preparation for this event, I would recommend that you go out and pick up either Loren Cordain’s book “The Paleo Diet” or Robb Wolf’s book “The Paleo Solution”. Take a read through and see what it’s all about. The basic summation of the diet is:
NO:
bread
rice
grains
cereals
starches
sugar
processed foods
YES:
meat/fish
nuts/seeds
fruit/vegetables
It’s not an easy transition, for all of us used to eating sandwiches and rice and potatoes and fries and sugar, but it will give you results fast. We will be having a meeting towards the end of January for everyone interested, and then February 1st we will be starting the challenge.
Just like everything else, we’ll be objectively measuring our results, so we’ll be weighing ourselves at the beginning, as well as frequently throughout the month. Also, we’ll need before, during, and after photos to really track your progress. Now is not the time to be shy. Be proud of your body! Show it off!
